I'm brand new and thought I would pop in and introduce myself. I have had a love for horses since I was knee high. My father also shared that love and taught me how to ride at a young age. We are currently in the process of teaching our 6 year old daughter how to ride, and I thought it would be great to find a place to hang out and talk about it :).

At this point I kind of "borrow" my brother's horses :). They are pretty much just like my own and I am with all of them daily. I have been thinking about getting one just for my daughter though, so that she can call it her own. She has the "love bug" too but is still getting used to all the proper care that horses require.

welcome! i'm new here too...i haven't really been on a horse before. I'm really afraid of heights but i do love watching them and touch their shiny coats....:D

welcome everyone that i have run into on the forum has been a great help. They all seem to be very nice.

I too was afraid of heights but it is possible that you could try out one of the smaller breeds. Take a look at the breeds section and ask, that may help you out tremendously.
