Hey everyone. I'm Jana and I currently own a beautiful bay mare by the name of Sassy. Her name fits her well, that's for sure. She used to be a barrel horse and that is what my dad originally bought her for, but I did not know her well enough and was not trained at all to enter in the North Texas High School Rodeo Association. That was two years ago, by the way. I am still not trained to do so, but I do enjoy pleasure riding. :) So anyway, I have another horse who was supposed to be my brothers( lets just say he called it quits). He's a handsome gelding named Pal who used to run the track. So when running him in an open space, careful.. he tends to run through the bit. But now we keep them both at a close friends boarding stable where I go visit and ride them at least a few times a week.
I have a short, cute story for you..
My dad taught pal to do this little trick when feeding carrots to Pal (Sassy wouldn't eat them). My dad would put the carrot in his mouth and tilt his head sideways, eventually Pal caught on and he would tilt his head in the opposite direction and take the carrot from my dad. It is the cutest thing ever! I wish I would have gotten video or pictures.
Well, thats my novel for today, haha. Can't wait to start talking to everyone!
