looking for lessons for my 2 girls. They are 8 and 11. Don't know if I should go with group or private to begin with. The private lessons are so expensive. Will do it though if it is best for their safety and learning.

maybe just start with a few private until they build confidence and learn the basics and go to group, they will have more fun in the groups, but probably need some one on one for the basics.

When I started riding I had a combo of private and group lessons.

Maybe have the first couple of lessons as private and then onto group lessons.

A good riding school will always have beginner classes and group your 2 girls with other riders of the same level of experience :)

i agree with previous. it is not either private or group but the combo of the 2 that will make good riders. build good skills with private and move on to groups, groups are the most fun for younger riders.

i was just going to post an update about the lessons for my girls. They have complete only 2 lessons in their new group and they are loving it. They don't have friends at school with horses like us so finding other kids who ride is exciting for them.
