Has anyone out there been the victim of a scam when others have tried to sell you a horse that was not what was claimedto be? Did you lose any money in the process and what was your recourse if this did happen to you?

Luckily my only encounter with this was smelled a mile away. I thought the description too good to be true, but went for a look anyway (you never know). Felt shady and it was. Stolen horses. They were arrested. I don't know what happened to them though.

I had a case that still makes me want to cry . . at least for my daughters sake. No real recourse. Lost the horse (and the money).
