horse names

Just wondering what everyones horses names are and if they have any meaning.

Was anyone lucky enough to name their own horse?

My horse's name is Jedda which means jet black gemstone. She is a dark liver chestnut so it suits her well when her coat is really dark :)

Hoover was named at his rescue, because he ate everything in sight when he got there. He was a starvation case, so he was eating the straw and sawdust off the floor after he finished his food.

My horse is called Fly Away and her stable name is Frankie. Frankie suits her better as she has a great personality and is a real character and loves to get up to antics if she can :D

I do not have a horse of my own. . . but I love the name Hoover! How appropriate for any animal that eats whatever is in sight!:) And I guess it is so funny to me too because that is what all of us sibs used to call my Dad and for the same reasons!
