What is the average price of buying a good horse in today's market? I have read in other places that prices for the animala are going down but I just have not noticed this to be true. I also realize that what breed you choose would also make a big difference in price, but I would just like to have an average number in my head. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum :)
Wow! You asked a lot of questions! That is great that you are so interested in horses:D
Commitment to ownership of a horse is huge both in time and money depending on what you want to do and if you have land to keep them or if you have to board them at a ranch or riding school.
Have you ridden before? Maybe you should start by going on some trail rides or having lessons to see if you want to make the commitment before buying a horse.
