What are some of the best skin care products which are available to care for your horses' mane, coat, and tail? I do not ever want to you use anything that would be too harsh or drying. What would be the proper guidelines for using the products? Thanks for the help!

I've had good results with MTG (Mane, Tail, Groom). It really helps thicken and shine. It has been my favorite for years. Let me know if you try it.

I also use MTG and have good results. Don't expect results overnight. You should notice a better coat in a few months. Now that warmer weather is coming, you can clean more often, that should help too. If it's more of a deep skin condition, I'd contact the vet.

A friend of mine swears by Burt's Bees Color Keeper Green Tea & Fennel Seed Shampoo. Not that your horse needs to keep his hair tint intact!! It has a UV filtering additive. The green tea extract, she says, has been incredible. I don;t know. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
