to shoe or not to shoe

wow, there is such a growing society of horse lovers that are going barefoot. members in my local club are trying barefoot for their non sport animals. i'm worried about the wet ground in my area. anyone have advice or experience with taking the shoes off?

funny you bring this up. we've gone barefoot with a few and they are doing very well. even when wet they still are looking healthy. our horses we ride out on the roads obviously are shod.

We've been shoeless for many years but it works for us. So much depends on the type of work you do with them and where you ride. If you don't need shoes, sure will save you some cash..
