mane pulling

any of you show horse people believe in mane pulling over cutting. is pulling used to shorten the mane or used to thin the mane. i'm looking to shorten the mane. mine are not show horses or competition but i like the look of the shorter manes.

i prefer mane pulling with the comb over scissor cutting. cutting looks so unnatural, most of us are not barbers. mane pulling is used to thin and shorten.

are you showing your horse or just like it short and out of the way? I like the look of a braided mane. the reverse french braid works well for me. instead of regular french braid put strands under instead of over. it holds for quite a while and give a very neat look

I'm with Shawna. I've always preferred braiding. I'll try how you braid and see how it holds up. Thank you. Always nice for more options. You get used to doing things the same way.
