scared foal

Have new foal that is reallly scared of bad weather. Will he outgrow it? He's about 6 months old. Never had one react this bad before.

Horses naturally know when something is wrong and react to that - it's instinct. The over-reacting shouldn't last. Your foal should outgrow this as he gets older.

we've got a 7 year old that still FREAKS OUT in thunderstorms. affraid he'll hurt himself. never has though. I guess that, just like our children, they are all different...

I liked JackGirls comment. They are all different, just like kids. You may need to physically try to calm her. I've had an injury with a frightened foal before. Don't want to go there again.
