Lot in the news about Obama and his pastors comments. Been watching this debate out on the news channels. What are your feelings on the matter?

If I disagreed that strongly with my preacher or spiritual leader, i think I would find another church to attend that shared more of my views. To disagree on so many key issues is strange. Is interesting watching this play out on tv.

His political beliefs and the pastor's political beliefs may be very different but spiritual beliefs may be more the same. I don't know how I feel about all this just yet. Want to hear more before deciding how I feel

I believe he has denounces or rejected some of the pastors views but only he did so only when it became an issue with voters. Why not befor now???
I'm so sick of politics and politicians..

It's hard to know what is in someone's heart. But it is very easy to hear what is coming out of someone's mouth. I was horrified at the rhetoric. I felt like I was listening to the reverse of George Wallace from 45 years ago.

I don't know why you'd stay where someone is so vitreous about life! Did Michelle and her kids attend their regularly too? Do they (Obama or his wife) teach a Sunday School class? Are their kids in Sunday School? How immersed in the church are they? All very poignant questions!

I have no idea what my pastor's political views are. I think that's the way it is suppose to be. Now, I do know where is heart is set on most moral and social issues though.

I got to thinking more about did I always agree with my pastor. Why should I? He's as human as I am. His call to ministry sets him above me in that capacity, but their is a whole host of issues that are interpreted within the bounds of the same denomination/congregation. Groupthink is scary.
