I got my new horse Friday (YAY! ). He is called 'My Obsession' and his stable name is 'Mobs'..... I got the impression that his stable name was not used much and as it happens he does not respond to it at all!..... so do not think he is too used to being called this.
I am not sure if I like his stable name and have been trying to think of something else....... I am not overly good at it! He is a dude & is Mr Cool, he is also SO friendly and adores people & cuddles .... so his name needs to reflect this!
The only 2 I have come up with that I would consider are:
O.B and Moby
A bit about him:
16.1hh/16.2hh
Bay
TB
very straightforward. He's easy to do anything with. Riding-wise he's quite active - ie brisk walker etc - but is very quiet and sensible. He's just a perky, nice horse.

Any ideas welcome............. ! !

Oh please don't call him O.B. It's a tampon for goddness sake.. HE might get upset about this. Think how embarrassing it would be to call him!!

Before I finished reading the line, I was screaming mentally, "No, not the tampon!!!' I had a male junior high basketball coach that yelled, "OB, OB, OB girls!" everytime there was an Out of Bounds pass. It was mortifying!!

V.B. would work nice. Look at the "V on his nose. It sounds all bouncy and powerful.

Hi and welcome to the forum :D
Congratulations on getting such a beautiful horse! What are you going to do with him?
I wouldn't worry too much about him not knowing his stable name, he will probally respond to anything once he recognizes your voice as that is what he will listen for.
I like Moby! He looks like a Moby and that is also very close to his stable name :)
Whatever you call him good luck on all your adventures and remember to post and tell us about them :)

......... in the UK funnily enough OB is not a tampon!
And patdarb, thank you for your ever so helpful contribution !

Hi and thanks!
He is yet another ex racer, so will be turned out for 1 year prob and then bought into retraining.... then we'll see what he fancies!..... he is said to be a very good jumper, but we will see. Until then he will be just chilling out
I like Moby, there are a few others on the list people have mentioned:
Hugo
Buddy
Oscar
Winston
Toro
Alfie
Dylan
Buster
Boss
Jake
Seb
Buzz
I just need to get to know him to decide :)!

You're right. South Carolina, U.S.A. What does OB mean in English-ease? No Johnson and Johnson product with that name there?

He does look like a Moby to me too. How sweet! You're lucky to have him!
