Does anyone have a great online or book source showing me how to braid my horses mane? I do it and it looks HORRIBLE! I want her to be proud of how she looks, not want to run and hide!!

This one looks like the way I do it. the question got me thinking I might try to mix it up a little bit.

For a refresher, I've looked to this website.

It has some great continental braid photos.

Any good BOOKS? I like to have it in my hands and read through it. Don't want to kill too many trees printing a bunch of pages I don't need!

practice, practice and more practice!

It took me over a year to get professional looking braids.

Also use some hair gel and hair spray, it helps to keep in all the loose ends :)

What type of gel or spray? My horse's mane is black and it always gets hazy looking and flakey when I try to add product. Anything specific for black manes and tails?
