Cataract Problems

Could someone give me some advice on dealing with cataracts? I know it's fairly common. I don't think it is affecting her vision right now, but I want to keep it in check as long as possible with a major intervention.

Mine has a bit of a cloud on the left side. Vet says I can just watch it. Not a whole lot I do because of it. Well, besides leading her right when she might get confused by a shadow.

I have a horse whose left eye has clouded up...we have only had him for 2 years....the guy we bought him from said he has Eye Allergies and it would clear up in the winter months....but it has never cleared up ..I wonder if he has cataracts and the guy just made that up??
