I posted this under another thread and then I got to really wondering what others thought.

The question for me, "Is organic any better than regular?" They still grow it in the same soil that has all of the gunk in it. Is it really that much better?

I think it depends on where you live. There are way too many environmental toxins out there to make a blanket safe or unsafe answer. I'd contact your local department of natural resources and/or EPA to get a good answer. Your local Extension Office could help too.

Any chance you get to remove foreign, never meant to be injested products. . . DO IT! Just think of the increase in cancers. It is a epidemic!

I'm not going to go so far as agree that non-organic foods cause cancer. You do jhave to wonder though long term effects of lots of the pesticides used. I try to grow my own in soil that I know what's been put on it!

i'd go for organic anytime. you never know what could result from using those non-organics in the long term until it's too late.
