My last post I asked about a tore tendon, i missunderstood it was a stretched tendon. I am not sure what this is, I have never had a horse with one. She stretched it when she was 2 she is 6. Can I ride her? I wont be doing competitions or anything, but I am still not sure. Please let me know. Thanks :D

I would listen to the vet that has examined her and then make your decision.

She had the injury 4 years ago so it should have healed ages ago and be no problem now unless it was very severe. Does she have any swelling or heat in her injured leg? If so then I would be wary.

If you really want her then maybe get a second vet opinion and an ultrasound to see the extent of the injury. It may have been a slight stretch and she will be ok without any further incidents.

A stretched tendon is like a rubberband that has been overstretched. The more it has been overstretched the less it will return to its original length and the weaker it will be.

Every injury is different and she may go on to never have a problem again.
On the other hand she may have have further problems and if she does it will be your responsiblity to look after her and her well being and you will need to be ok with any further vet bills.....are you willing to do that?
